These two counties hold the densest concentration of privately held businesses in California, and the mix is wide. Aerospace and precision manufacturing through the South Bay and into north Orange County.

‍

Distribution and logistics are anchored in the ports and freeway corridors. Engineering firms, licensed contractors, and technical services companies can be found throughout both. Established service and retail businesses in every community in between.

‍

That variety is the reason pricing is not a formula. A machine shop in Torrance with equipment and long-term customer accounts prices differently than a service business in Anaheim with the same revenue.

What is my business worth in Los Angeles or Orange County?

A business is valued on adjusted earnings, on how reliably those earnings recur, and on how much of them survive the owner's departure. Comparable sales matter, and local comparables matter more than national ones, because what a buyer actually paid for a Long Beach distributor tells you more about your business than a national average does.

‍

We give an opinion of value before taking any listing. Formal certified appraisals are a separate engagement, used for partnership buyouts, divorce, estate planning, buy-sell funding, and financing.
